CB&Q Mikado in the railyard at Louisiana, MO.468 viewsA CB&Q Mikado steams up while a gondola sits on what the crews dubbed the "city" track. The city track was owned by the GM&O and was used for transferring cars between the CB&Q and GM&O. This view is looking south, notice the GM&O Mississippi river bridge to the left, and the automobiles sitting near the river. The building at the left of the photo next to the river was a fresh fish market, still operating in the 1970s. Thanks again to Archie Hayden for all the info.
