Missouri K-Line

19eb_bnsf_9353_SD70ACe_elsberry_mo_jun07_2007.jpg

The now-BNSF "K-line" was started in the 1870s by the then St. Louis, Keokuk & Northwestern Railroad. It runs from St. Louis, Mo to Burlington, Ia, and winds across the fertile fields and along the banks of the Mississippi flood plain. It is what I consider my 'home' rails, having grown up next to the tracks. I still enjoy railfanning here more than anywhere else.
